“I love water, which is what ultimately brought me—a former painter—over to kiln glass. (I use three electric kilns versus blowing glass.) Glass is juicy, enticing, and very beautiful. And what better material to explore water? I want to draw you in, invite you to explore, and find joy in my glass pieces. And I am scaling up my wall-mounted composites with plans to add moving projected light.
“My pieces have multiple kiln firings and layers with different cold working in between. Starting with cast glass, I re-fire broken and cut parts with more glass to create interest and depth. Heat and gravity actually ‘move’ the glass. Whether the favorite bluish, water‑inspired glass or other color combinations, each one is really a painting with glass!”
